Cancellation Policy - Cooking School

The cooking school does not offer cash, credit or debit card refunds in case of customer cancellations. 

In exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel classes. Customers whose bookings are affected will be offered a suitable alternative.

Our cooking classes require days of preparation, with each class sourcing different ingredients which are prepared specifically for you. While we understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, we kindly ask that you provide us with advance notice to avoid additional rebooking fees. 

Please carefully read the following information on our rebooking policy:

Rebooking a different class date:

-        If you are changing your booking at minimum 7 days prior to your scheduled class date, no rebooking fee applies.

-        If you are changing your booking within 2-7 days prior to your scheduled class date, a $100 rebooking fee per person applies in addition to your original ticket price. Rebooking fee payment is required before transferring your tickets to a new class. 

-        No date changes will be accepted with less than 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled class, therefore Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class, as well as no-shows, forfeit the full ticket price. However, to avoid fees of any kind, you may also offer your tickets to friends or family members. In such case, please contact The Dirty Apron Cooking School to provide the new guest names before the class.

Unforeseen Circumstances:

Please note that it is the responsibility of the booked customer to arrange for suitable transportation before and after a cooking class. The Dirty Apron does not allow ticket refunds or rebooking requests due to weather, traffic conditions, or other special events happening in the area.

We kindly ask that you respect our policies as accepted at the time of booking. As a small family business with limited tickets, we rely on prior notice of rebooking requests. Our rebooking policy is in place to ensure that we can continue to provide exceptional service and maintain the highest standards for all of our guests. Maximum booking size

We cannot take bookings for groups of more than 8 people on a published class. For group bookings of 9 or more people please visit the Group Events section for further information.

Attendance of Minors

We periodically offer kids & teen cooking camps for 7-11 and 12-17 year olds. To attend these classes we will need an agreement form signed by a parent or guardian, which will be emailed out approx. 5 days prior to the first day of camp.

Dietary Restrictions

Where possible, our chefs will accommodate dietary constraints. As a courtesy we ask that you alert our staff of allergies and dietary restrictions upon booking OR 7 days prior to the booked class. Allergies are the responsibility of the attendee and not of the Dirty Apron Cooking School. We are unable to take responsibility for allergic reactions to foodstuffs. Food prepared both on and off site may contain traces of nuts.

Gift Cards

Dirty Apron gift cards are non-refundable, not redeemable for cash and cannot be replaced if lost, damaged or stolen. All gift cards can be used toward cooking classes online or over the phone. You can also use your gift card toward purchases made in-store.

Delivery

All class bookings and online purchases are confirmed by email. When ordering a gift card online, one can choose between in-store pick-up or free delivery by Canada Post. Delivery times will vary depending on destination. In most instances, standard delivery for gift cards within BC will be within 3 business days. For orders outside of BC or Canada please allow for more time.

Street Prices

All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Prices are subject to change.

Refund Policy - Delicatessen

Refunds on merchandise purchased in the delicatessen will be issued with a valid receipt. 

Taxation and Duties

As the Dirty Apron Cooking School is operated out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, all listed prices will be subject to GST (5%), and PST (7%), where applicable.
